J'étais le week-end dernier en Suisse pour la Nendaz Freeride, compétition 3* du circuit Freeride World Qualifier. Nous aurons finalement eu une course sur deux jours , les qualifications le vendredi en 2 descentes et une finale le samedi.

I was last weekend in Switzerland for the Nendaz Freeride, a 3*event of the Freeride World Qualifier. For once this season, the competition format will be on 2 days, qualification with 2 run (Friday) and the final on Saturday.

Contrairement à l'année passée, je réussi à assurer mes deux runs de qualifications pour atteindre la finale du samedi. Les filles ont skié propre et rapide. Sarah Martinais a notamment envoyé un 360 sur un run mais tombe malheureusement sur le deuxième, elle n'atteindra pas les finales.

This year I succeed to access the final, landing my two runs. All the girl skied clean and fast. Sarah Martinais sent a 360 but unfortunately didn't land her second run, she will not make it to the final.

Après avoir repérée ma ligne de bon matin, il est tant d'amorcer la montée qui nous prendra presque une heure, les filles s'élanceront les premières. Les conditions sont parfaites, il fait grand beau et nous avons 15cm de fraîche sur le haut de la face. Le niveau est élevé sur cette compétition, on observera de nombreux saut de barres et du ski à grande vitesse sur la partie basse. Je suis donc heureuse de finir sur la troisième marche du podium. A noté également une belle performance de ma compatriote Maud Malaisé qui termine à la 5eme place avec une fin de ligne très rapide.

Une belle performance aussi pour Estelle Ballet en snowboard, qui termine son run par un gros saut et une réception parfaite. Cette victoire lui assure une place sur le Freeride World Tour l'année prochaine.

After checking my line in the early light, It's time to start the hike which will take around an hour, the girl will go first. The conditions are perfect, blue sky and fresh snow on the top of the face. The girl skied fastly with fluidity and and we've seen some good size drop, the level is high. Tha't why I'am happy to end 3rd. Maud Malaise, the other french girl skiing the finals end 5th with a super fast line on the bottom part. Estelle Balet, on snowboards category realize a impressive drop with a perfect landing giving her the victory. She is now sure to participate to the Freeride World Tour 2014.

Je pars ce week end pour l'Autriche, effectuer ma dernière compétition de la saison.

I will leave this week-end to Austria for my last competition of the season.
