FWQ El Dorado Freeride, Andorra

J’étais il y a deux semaines en Andorre pour la dernière étape 4* du Qualifier. Les conditions difficiles, froid, vent, attente, auront eu raison de ma concentration. Je loupe ma ligne et descend la face sans rien sauter, logiquement je termine dans le bas du classement. C’est en faisant des erreurs que l’on apprend.

Ce trip restera, malgré la déception quant au résultat, une belle expérience. La globetrotteuse que je suis aura appréciée la visite d’un nouvel endroit: l’Andorre, avec ses vallées encaissées, ses villages en pierres, et ses soirées inoubliables. Une étape que je ne louperais pas l’année prochaine malgré un long voyage.

I was two weeks ago in Andorra for the last 4* stop of the FWQ. The difficult conditions, cold, wind and the fact we had to wait a long time on the top of the venue, made me lost my concentration. I missed my line and went down without jumping anything, I ended in the bottom of the ranking.

Even if I ended disapointed with myself, It was still a great expérience. The traveller I am enjoyed discovering Andorra, its different landscape and its wonderfull parties. A stop I will not miss next year even if it’s a long trip.

FWQ First Track Freeride, Chandolin

Nous étions ce week-end en Suisse pour la First Track Freeride à Chandolin, une étape 3*. Je termine 4ème, un résultat satisfaisant puisque je loupe la seule barre de ma descente à cause d’un repérage à la lumière matinale qui ne m’aura pas aidé à assimiler le relief. Cette étape me prouve donc que le ski est là, il faut maintenant que je travaille mes repérages.

I was this week-end in Switzerland, Chandolin for the First Track Freeride, a 3* event. I ended 4th, a satisfying result as I missed the only cliff of my run because of a morning light inspection that didn’t help me catch the terrain movement. I wasn’t able to reach it. This stop proove me I have the ski I need now to work my inspection skills.
